Espelho, espelho meu...
The essay features travel photographs that capture images reflected in a small convex mirror, converging the landscape and plastic objects deformed plastically. The mirror allows the reflection of the landscape fixed in a circular image to be inserted in the frame of the photograph, making the unusual look visible, proving to be a device suitable for image curation. Familiarity with glass and reflections on the route in different citiesO ensaio apresenta fotografias de viagem que capturam imagens refletidas num pequeno espelho convexo, convergindo a paisagem e os objetos do entorno plasticamente deformados. The tragedy of Paissandú, among the perennial and ephemeral
The recent fire and collapse of a building in downtown São Paulo provided reflections about the heritage on the ephemerality of the heritage in the city. The sudden change in the system landscape material revealed the recurrent transformations of that space. An emptiness has arisen between superimposed layers of time, between what has already been and what is not yet: no more, but not yet. The Stained Glass Windows Installed like an Object at the Parque da Água Branca’s Entrance Portal
Like the european cities of the post-‐Industrial Revolution in the XVIII century, urban public parks appeared in São Paulo, such as the White Water Park, which opened in 1929 and aimed to meet the demand of the growing agricultural industry. In this park, the Entrance Portal´s futuristic appearance stands out, completely different from the other buildings. Designed by the engineer Mário Thomaz Whately, the portal frames a set of stain-‐themed agriculture and livestock, created by artist Antônio Gomide in partnership with Casa Conrado. By the time of the portal´s full restoration, including its stained glass windows, made by this articles´ authors in 1997, documents that support findings and help to historically situate such an interest building were found, including a photo of 1940, where it's possible to observe the functionality those huge luminous objects, currently overshadowed by the luminosity of surroundings.
Life and experimental art in Wilton Azevedo’s trajectory
The article presents reflections on the trajectory of the artist, professor and researcher Wilton Azevedo since his production in the graphic arts, where he explored the materiality of natural pigments and handmade papers, until his migration to digital technology, constituting a creative process that mainly valorized the search for languages. A pioneer in the search for new creative possibilities, he launched himself into cyberspace with a transformed self-image, letting poetry emerge in a new ambience that profoundly renewed the consolidated relations between image, text and sound. In dialogue with contemporary thinkers such as Manovich, Chartier and Flusser, some fundamental concepts are raised to understand Wilton Azevedo's work, such as expanded digital writing, digital poetry and other experiments, and the creation of Lhudi, Digital Humanities Laboratory, which pride the teacher-researcher. The self-portrait of the artist appears here as an invitation in homage, suggesting the deepening in the work of this great artist
The text presents reflections on the creative teaching process especially dedicated to children, observing actions and establishing dialogue with a public education teacher from the public school in the municipality of Barueri, west district of the metropolitan region of São Paulo. The research is based on the qualitative methodology, case study, presenting reflections on the project “Por causa da luz”, developed with a class of 27 children aged 5 years. The concepts developed by Vygotsky, which establish relationships between imaginative activity and reality, the flow of current ideas, elaborated by Csikzentmihalyi, and the courage to create, according to May, are the main theoretical contributions on which this study is based. The process starts when the teacher is in real situations that require creative solutions. If the children's interest is perceived and shared, the encounter takes place, permeated with emotions, which generate the creative flow. It was evident in the development of this article that the creative process in teaching is nurtured and cultivated by research, hard, serious work, with clear goals and enough courage to innovate.
